Malone Families,
If you have a child or children who will be reaching school age in time for the next school year, please see the information below. If you have family or friends in the community who do not currently have children in the district, and thus won't be receiving this ParentSquare, but who will have school age children next year, please feel free to pass this information along to them.
Children may be enrolled for the 2026-2027 school year for Pre-K or Kindergarten by a parent or guardian in one of two ways:
Enroll anytime online on our enrollment page.
Enroll in person, by appointment from March 2nd through March 31st, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at our Transportation Center, 22 Bus Garage Lane.
Pre-K:
The program is available to children who turn four on or before December 1, 2026. Parents are required to provide proof of age (Birth Certificate), proof of residency, and a record of immunizations for their son/daughter at registration. If you choose to enroll online you can mail copies or drop off the required paperwork to complete the registration.
The program will operate on the same days that school is in session for children in grades K-5. There will be full day openings only.
Kindergarten:
If your child is currently enrolled in a Pre-K program in the Malone Central School District, it is not necessary to enroll them in Kindergarten.
A child's birthdate must be on or before December 1, 2021 to be eligible for Kindergarten during the 2026-2027 school year. Building Assignments:
As children are enrolled, we try to assign them to the elementary building that is closest to their homes. However, there are a number of circumstances and needs, such as class sizes and availability of specific resources or programs, that mean it is often necessary for students to be assigned to a building that is not necessarily the closest to their home.
