ADVANCED PLACEMENT ASSESSMENT

Any 7th or 8th Grader that is interested in taking the Advanced Placement Assessment to attempt to move up to a Junior Varsity or Varsity team needs to have the permission form and physical maturity form (linked below) completed and returned to the Athletic Director. The Athlete should contact the appropriate coach to inquire as to their ability to try out for the specific team.

The Physical Fitness Test, required to be eligible for Junior Varsity or Varsity play as a 7th/8th grader, must be successfully completed twice; once at Franklin Academy and once at a regional testing site.

The initial physical fitness test will take place at Franklin Academy at 9:00 am on August 6, 2025.

A student may not test at a regional site if they do not complete the test at Franklin Academy. There are two regional dates available (A student need only attend one).

Wednesday, August 13, 2025 - 9:00 am - Ogdensburg Free Academy
Wednesday, August 20, 2025 - 6:00 pm - Potsdam High School

Note: The Fall JV & Varsity season begins August 18, 2025
