The Malone Central School District is proud to announce the valedictorian and salutatorian of the Class of 2025. 


Valedictorian: Emma Riley

Malone Central School District proudly names Emma Riley, daughter of Christopher and Donna Riley, as the Class of 2025 valedictorian. 


Emma has consistently excelled academically and will graduate with a Regents diploma with Advanced Designation. She holds a weighted GPA of 4.35. 


In addition to her academic achievements, Emma has been a dedicated member of the fall and winter cheerleading teams since seventh grade, serving as captain during her junior and senior years. She earned First Team All-Northern honors in her sophomore, junior and senior years, and was recognized as an Athlete of Distinction. 


Emma is also active in student leadership and extracurricular activities. She has been a member of the Spanish Club and National Honor Society since her sophomore year. She serves as president of the Epsilon Society, which promotes volunteerism, and has held the role of class vice president since 10th grade. Most recently, she was elected historian of the Science National Honor Society. 


In April, Emma and several classmates advanced to the New York State Science Congress after competing at the Terra Northeast Science Fair.


This fall, Emma will attend St. Lawrence University, where she plans to major in biology on a pre-dental track. Reflecting on her time at Malone Central, she encourages younger students to challenge themselves and get involved to create a well-rounded high school experience.

Salutatorian: Chandler Fefee

Malone Central School District proudly announces Chandler Fefee, son of Chad and Bryn Fefee, as the Class of 2025 salutatorian.  

 

Chandler has demonstrated outstanding academic dedication and will graduate with a Regents diploma with Advanced Designation with Mastery in Math and Science. He is expected to graduate from Franklin Academy with a weighted GPA of 4.32.

In addition to his academic success, Chandler is actively involved in school life. He participates in soccer, basketball and lacrosse, earning Section X Outstanding Sportsmanship awards in both soccer and lacrosse. He has also been recognized as an Athlete of Distinction and has served as a member and captain of the lacrosse team since its inception. 

Chandler served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for three years and was the only student from Malone Central to represent Section X at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Leadership Conference in Albany during his junior year.

He has held the position of class president for two years and is a member of both the Epsilon Society and the National Honor Society, reflecting his commitment to scholarship, service, leadership and character. Most recently, Chandler earned the New York State Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish. He has also been a percussionist in the school band since fifth grade.  

This fall, Chandler will attend the University of Notre Dame, where he plans to major in psychology. Reflecting on his time at Malone Central, he encourages younger students to enjoy every moment—it goes by quicker than you would think.
