Food Sense Program
Franklin County families are welcome to use the Food Sense Program, which is run out of St. Lawrence County. The program is a monthly co-op open to anyone who wants to stretch their food dollars. Each month there are pre-packaged food boxes consisting of 12-25 grocery items at a discounted price of $20.50 total per box. Families can order as many boxes as they want, and can skip certain months if they wish. Boxes are ordered through their website, http://foodsense.foodbankcny.org/. You can see what items are in each month's box before purchase, and order other specialty items to add to your box(es). They take credit and debit cards, and SNAP benefits, if they are continued at some point in the future.
