The Malone Central School District Board of Education has appointed Stephanie Marsh as the district’s new business administrator, effective July 1, at its meeting on Tuesday, June 10.

Marsh brings more than two decades of experience in education and business instruction to her new role, where she will oversee financial planning, budgeting and business operations for the district.

She has served the district for the past 19 years as a business and driver education teacher at Franklin Academy. During her tenure, she taught college-level accounting and sports marketing, sports management, and driver education. She also developed first-year programs in sports management, sports marketing and business life skills.

In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Marsh has contributed to the district in several leadership and support roles, including serving on the safety committee, coordinating the business department, advising student organizations and providing home tutoring.

Before joining Franklin Academy, Marsh taught driver education at Parishville-Hopkinton Central School District, where she led both classroom and in-car instruction, as well as summer and after-school programs.

Her professional background also includes roles as an accounting assistant at KCC Protection Inc., adjunct business instructor at North Country Community College, youth mentor for Franklin County Mentors Forward, district clerk at St. Regis Falls Central School District, and vocational instructor in computer repair at Bare Hill Correctional Facility.

A graduate of St. Regis Falls Central School,  Marsh holds a Bachelors of Science in business and technology management from Clarkson University and Master of Science in Teaching in childhood education from SUNY Potsdam. She also earned her driver education certification from SUNY Oswego and holds a school district business leadership certification from Canisius University.

Her New York State certifications include advanced school district business leader, business and marketing education (K-12), childhood education (grades 1-6), and driver education.

“We are excited for Stephanie to transition from a teacher to a district administrator,” said Superintendent of Schools Brandon Pelkey. “Her expertise and strategic vision will help us continue to provide high-quality education while maintaining strong fiscal leadership.”

In her new role, Marsh will manage the district’s budget, oversee payroll and purchasing, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. She will also collaborate with the Board of Education and district leadership to align financial resources with educational goals.

“I’m honored to have been chosen as the district’s business administrator and look forward to continuing to work with staff, families and the community,” Marsh said. “Together, we’ll build a strong financial foundation that supports student success.”
