The Positivity Project

Malone families,

This week's P2 trait is integrity. We hope you'll take a few minutes sometime this week and use the links at the bottom of this message to talk to your child about integrity.

What it is.
Your choices reflect your values, even when the choice is difficult. People with integrity keeps their promises, and presents themselves genuinely. Integrity is doing the right thing when no one is watching, not just when there's a chance of getting "credit" for doing the right thing. They have the courage to stick to their beliefs, even if it means not following the crowd. Integrity is closely related to honesty and authenticity.

Why it matters.
Having integrity guides ethical decision making. It helps us develop our values, our sense of right and wrong, and to live by them. Living and acting with integrity makes us people that others can trust because they know what we stand for, and know that we will do what we say.

Practice at home.
To practice the character trait of integrity at home,  please visit P2 for Families, where you will watch a video together and discuss a quote a three questions. Click the link below appropriate for your child's grade level.
