Principal's Message

My name is Ginny Doll, and it is both an honor and a privilege to serve as the principal of Davis Elementary School.

At Davis Elementary School, we are committed to providing a comprehensive education that empowers students to excel academically, socially, and emotionally. Our mission is to inspire a passion for learning, cultivate critical thinking skills, and foster a sense of responsibility and citizenship in our students. Through a collaborative effort between dedicated educators, supportive families, and engaged community members, we strive to create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive and reach their fullest potential.

We firmly believe that strong partnerships between the school, parents, and the community are essential for student success. We encourage parents to actively participate in their child's educational journey by volunteering, attending school events, and maintaining open lines of communication with teachers and staff. Together, we can create a supportive network that enhances the educational experience for all our students and strengthens our school community.

As your principal, I am committed to fostering a culture of accessibility and approachability. My door is always open, and I welcome your feedback, questions, and concerns. Whether you wish to discuss your child's academic progress, share ideas for school improvement, or simply connect with me, I am here for support. With shared interest and attention to student growth, we will impact a student's trajectory towards future success.

I am filled with optimism and enthusiasm for the lives that lie ahead for our young people. With dedicated staff, supportive families, and eager students, I am confident that we will continue to achieve great things at Davis Elementary School. Together, we will inspire a love for learning, nurture positive relationships, and create a school environment where all members of our community feel valued, respected, and empowered.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. It is a privilege to serve as your principal, and I look forward to partnering with you to ensure a successful and rewarding educational experience for every child at Davis Elementary School.

Warm regards,

Ginny Doll

Our Mission Statement:

It is our goal at Davis that all students, regardless of differences, develop and progress intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically through learning as a partnership between school, home, and community.

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The PTA at Davis' Elementary School maintains a close working relationship between parents, teachers/staff and students. It is our goal to enhance the educational experience by supporting the students and teaching staff through fund raising efforts to provide additional equipment, services and special projects. A strong PTA is evidence of parental interest and does ensure a better school environment for our children.

Our PTA holds meetings to discuss and implement the ideas of the parents and teaching staff.

The Positivity Project (P2)

What is The Positivity Project?

The Positivity Project (P2) is an organization whose mission is to empower students to build positive relationships and become their best selves. Positive psychology’s 24 character strengths serve as its foundation. Ranging from bravery and perseverance to integrity and gratitude, the character strengths are classified and described in the 800-page book Character Strengths and Virtues. These strengths aren’t about ignoring the negative. Instead, they help us overcome life’s inevitable adversities. P2 is a school-wide endeavor grounded in the consistency of daily classroom instruction. P2 Partner Schools dedicate one week to each strength and students learn through daily 15-minute classroom lessons that are different for every grade level. P2 empowers students by acknowledging that the 24 character strengths are already part of who they are as people. It helps them realize that each and every one of them can tap into these strengths — and not just as students, but for the rest of their lives.
